Phoenicians

arcrylic paint / gloss / mixed material base on canvas

This series draws inspiration from the ancient Phoenician salt pans, vast geometric landscapes shaped by nature and human ingenuity, along the Mediterranean coast. I am fascinated by the chiseled stone and flow between the pans, a natural technology of light and water used to extract minerals. Through abstraction, I explore the interplay of texture, reflection, and flowing forms, evoking the timeless dialogue between earth, water, and light. These paintings capture the rhythms and surfaces of the salt pans, reflecting both their physical presence and cultural resonance.
